Members of the Chmielus Lab presented at the RAPID + TCT 2017 conference at the David Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, PA on May 11, 2017.

Dr. Markus Chmielus gave a talk detailing the additive manufacturing research being done at the University of Pittsburgh.

Amir Mostafaei presented a poster titled “Microstructure Evolution and Mechanical Properties of Binder Jet Printed Nickel-based Superalloy 625”.

 

Katerina Kimes presented a poster titled “Comparison of Characterization Methods for Differently Atomized Nickel-based Alloy 625 Powders Used in Binder Jet Additive Manufacturing”.

 

Jakub Toman and Erica Stevens presented a poster titled “High Temperature Alloys and Functional Materials: Additive Manufacturing Projects in the Chmielus Lab”.

We had a lot of fun, met some interesting people, and got to enjoy some beautiful views of downtown Pittsburgh!
